Another car hit the side of my car and took off everything including the rear wheel. I suffered injuries which I didnt know about at the time i guess due to adrenaline. I have bruises and a severe headache. The car is completely totalled.

I asked the driver if he was alright and he said yes. His car only suffered minor damage to the left front. I didnt call the police since we both had insurance. Maybe I should have since he started blaming me when hes the one who hit me.

I took tons of photos and it’s clear that he hit my car. I am pretty certain he will tell his insurance that it was my fault and they will most likely deny my claim.

So should I get a lawyer involved instead of taking my chances on my own?

i was recently in a collision the other day. i was traveling straight with the right of way, and i was hit by a driver turning left into my lane to cross the intersection. i do not have collision on my car for it is a 99 grand am, and the damage is enough to total the vehicle. when the police arrived, they did not site the accident, however an officer mentioned it is clear what happened but in the hands of the insurance company’ss. i called liberty mutual, my company, and they told me to get into contact with the other drivers. i filled out the accident forms and sent them to the police and registry. her company told me that she had already filed a claim and that they would be in contact with me. i have no prior record of poor driving. no speeding tickets, no car accidents, i have a red light ticket that i appealed and won. is there anything i should be worried about? is my car going to be covered and if so how long does anappraisall take. i took photos of all the damage for records.

heres the thing, liberty mutual told me that since i do not have collision, and am not at fault, that i will have to see what her insurance company appraises me for. i am just hoping that she was honest and her insurance company is honest and sees that she is at fault.

The accident took place May 30, 2008. I am not sure if my lawyer is being really slow at resolving this or if I am just impatient. Anyways, I have already gotten him photos of the accident and a copy of all my medical bills. He said that he would get a hold of me when he figures out how much we are settling for. I haven’t heard from in since the end of September. I have considered finding a new lawyer. But if the one I got is still on schedule or at least okay with the time limit I will stick with him. So I was just curious, is there or what is the time limit to settle?
