I have had a bulging disk at the L4-L5 since mid November. Was improving a bit with physio but now I’m in even more pain. I have tried the inversion table, acupuncture, physio and even a chiro visit. Nothing is working. What’s the best way to heal this. Walking is now even painful. I’m getting pain in my right hip. I’m 2 young for this. Can anyone please help…also anti-inflammatories and ice aren’t much relief either.

Ted had 2 slipped disks in his back… he’s nearly two. during the surgery the vet things he touched a nerve which effects his left leg. its been 3 weeks since surgery, he’s having physio but he needs to strengthen his leg again before he has hydrotherapy.. anyone had the same problem? Thanks

cervical spine bulging disc?

Serious answers only plz I’m worried! I have been having physio for 5mths following a high velocity RTA 6mths ago. Wasn’t x rayed at time of accident but physio ordered x ray of c spine (about 6 wks later )which showed ‘posterior displacement of c4 in relation to c5′ & ‘marked loss of height of c4/c5′ & some loss of height in relation to c6/c7, ‘no boney trauma’.
Symptoms failed to improve and include severe jaw, ear, head & eye pain & numbness & tingling in 3rd & 4th finger. More recently have developed giddiness, unsteady gait (people think I’m drunk!) and urgency of urination, also my knee give way but don’t know if these are connected.
GP ordered recent MRI scan which showed a bulging disc at C2 and I’m seeing a neurourgeon Friday. Is this serious?? Would appreciate an opinion from somebody who may know.(I’m a 51yr old female)

PLEASE HELP! Weight loss with back injury?

I recently gained 30 lbs throughout my first and second year of university (I went from being 120lbs to 150; I’m 5"4′). Unfortunately, I recently injured my lower back and am in the process of trying to figure out why it hurts. BUT, it’s really putting a damper on any attempts to lose the weight because most of the exercises hurt. I’m not covered for physio, what are some of my options?

I suffered from a slipped disc a year or so ago, after months of mild backache due to back posture and obesity. I haven’t really been the same since the incident but I lost 2 stone (not enough weight to lose but a start) and was starting to get stronger. Being on my feet for long periods of time and sitting down caused some problems but I was 90% ok really.

I narrowly missed having to have surgery because I had numbness down one side of my leg… it was only mild numbness and I had horrific sciatia too. the numbness never really went away to be honest but my physio and dr were kinda laid back about it.

2 weeks ago I had a bad flare up. My lower back pain was kinda bad (although not acute) and the numbness in my buttock, saddle and back of the thigh seems worse. My DR thinks I am fine and the physio said that the disc must just be a bit inflamed again and not to pain but, I am panicking, I thought that if you get numbness you have to have surgery because it can damage your nerves?? My legs also feel jellyish sometimes, like weak but to b honest it’s worse when im worried so that might be anxiety.

I am doing my exercises to strengthen my core, losing weight and improving my posture (I am not needing painkillers) but I am worried that this is getting ignored, should I just calm down? lol I am going to rome next week for 2 days and I am worried about that, as I had to cancel a holiday 2 weeks ago because of being worried that the disc will come out again!

Help!

i have DDD @ L5-S1 ,since 7-8 yrs, i tried many Dr. but failed to get treated,i tried accupuncture, massage, yoga, accupressure, epidural inj.,physio but none has helped, pain may go for a day or two and it comes back, seating in vajra asana in a special chair gives me some relief, but thats not the solution,i do not want to go for major surgery, so pls suggest minimum invasive surgery if available,or some best way to manage the pain without medication.

I have extreme sharp pain in my lower right back, and the pain shoots down my leg into my knee aswell.

What should I do? Are there any treatments or should i see a doctor or a physio?
