only 25 yrs old, 108lb petite
what are my chances of ever being able to deliver myselfI am considering pregnancy but have a multi level L-spine and hip injury from falling at work. Both cause major pain in left side all the way to foot. No treatment has helped. I have pain from my low back into entire left leg and also tingling into the foot.
Saw my GYN today and she said it would not be a good decision for me and would cause too much stress on a baby. She said I could have sciatica with normal pregnancy and my injury could complicate things more.
Any advice would be great
what if the reward is worth the risk to me

I am 24 weeks pregnant and having sciatic nerve pain. I had it with my first pregnancy as well and know how much worse its going to get! I need some at-home type remedies, as I just can’t afford to see a chiropractor.

Has anyone ever had this problem before? I also have an 18month old son and I am just worried about how my pregnancy is going to affect my back. It is already really bad and I can’t imagine putting on 30 pounds making it any better!

Okay since my last question I’ve received the results from the MRI which shows that I have a bulging disc. I’ve gained a lot of weight in the last year and am now dieting to lose it. Will this alleviate the pain and/or shrink the bulging disc? It takes a month to get an appointment with my doctor and I’m just wondering now. I’m scheduled for a visit with the neurosurgeon and want to avoid surgery if possible. Any advice? Please help. I weigh 225, am a female at 5’6 and just take 30 minute walks for exercise to help release some of the pain I feel. I was 195 lbs. but gained the weight after pregnancy which ended in miscarriage and depression. I’m back on track now but afraid. I know that the weight didn’t cause the problem but I’m wondering if losing weight will resolve it somewhat. The pain radiates down my right leg but feels better after I walk…sitting makes it feel worse. I’m 43 years old and a teacher. I used to wear heels to class everyday but won’t do that again.

Want to hear personal experiences about how bad the pain was or if it wasn’t as bad as you had anticipated. Please, No "everyone is different" answers. I know this already. I’m considering natural birth as after many low back injuries, an epidural might not work for me. I was in very good physical shape before pregnancy and have endured horribly painful periods my whole life, so I’m no wuss. Please also rate your pain experience a 1-10 (10 being the most excruciating pain). Thanks everyone.

we have a child in together, unfortunatley I found out to late about this person and their problems. This person used tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and crystal meth during pregnancy and has kidnapped our child to another state through false allegations of domestic violence.I have filed for custody and a hearing is coming up soon. I am concerned about my childs wellbeing but have been restrained from contact with the mother and my child. The mother has admitted to using all of the above to doctor. Is there any legel recourse for these actions?I would also like this person to be prosecuted for the lies that were told to several courts and for slandering my good name in the local area.I would also like to know how to go about collecting monies I have lost to lawyers, travel expenses, time off work.etc..This person has an extensive criminal record that includes various drug charges and wanton endangerment, dwi’s ect..This person knows the system and uses it for own personall gain.I do not.pleasehelp

So, I was driving home, when a girl came speeding around the corner in my apartment complex on the wrong side of the road. Long story short, it got ruled 100% her fault. Now I ended up doing 6 months of chiropractic visits and 2 months of physical therapy. I don’t feel different and I am going to have permanant back and neck damage (not severe just not comfortable to be on my feet a long time, sleep, or do strenuous activities, I’m a Chef). That’s not it. My wife was about 37-38 weeks pregnant, and we went to a doctors visit a couple hours after the accident. She wasn’t in the car, but freaked out when she heard the accident and came out of the apartment and saw it was me. The doctor diagnosed her with preeclamsia (high stress during pregnancy) because of the accident and had to induce her that night. The drugs slowed the baby’s heart rate, so they had to give a c-section. They only offered k to start and they say my wife doesn’t matter because she wasn’t in the car. suggestions?
So to answer a few questions.
First of all both the cars were totaled. I have soft tissue damage, and my back seems to mis-align easily. I had not had any health problems prior at all. I only went to the chiropractor that long because my insurance said to just see if it helps, even though I told them 2 months into it that it hadn’t helped. I had visits 3 times a week. An IME was done, and they said to go to 10 visits of PT and if that didn’t help they may have to rule it as a permanant injury. Though, to get proof, what should I do? It was ruled 100% her fault so it doesn’t really matter with my policy. The medical bills were probably about 00 total. I most likely can get a letter from my wife’s OB which was also the on-call doctor, saying it was related with the accident. When we went in that day, thats when she was diagnosed, the OB actually asked what the hell happened that day. Do you think that would do the trick? Sry if I missed a question but I’ll try to answer any more. Th

Hi, I have had a slipped disc and nerve problems in my back for 6 months now, and I have never felt pain like it, (even after two natural labours) I have just found out I am pregnant even after taking the contraceptive pill, I am in immense pain, never ending 24/7 pain, am unable to walk 6 days out of 7, and need advice on what help (medically with my pain) I can get, I don’t know how I am going to go through a pregnancy with the amount of pain I am in.
No STUPID comments please, helpful advice would be great!!!
P.S I have been to the doctors several times, but been told just to take paracetamol which does absolutely nothing!
Thankyou for ur comments, I should add, I am attending physio, barely, hasn’t helped at all, also went to a chiropractor 3 times, and nope nothing helped there either, have taken other meds, but I swear no difference there either, it really is THAT painful.

I have hip and back pain after giving birth. Occurs mostly when I sit to feed my baby, but then also other times when I am doing usual activity.
The Dr. said it is normal due to pregnancy for a couple months after but mine started only a couple months after.
He also said that the back pain could be around the area of the spinal. The hip pain is th most bothersome… I’m too young to have all thse aches and pains! What can I do to combat them?
The pains started 2 months after I had the baby.

When I was pushin my daughter out of my vagina. I didnt feel anything because the drugs they gave me made me really numb. She was crowning for about 5 hrs so they finally decided to use forceps. When she was born she had facial nerve damage from the doctor misusing the forcepts. I ended up pushing her out myself anyway because they said the forceps didnt help. When we took her to the pediatrician she pointed out that our daughter had facial nerve damage and we got a whole bunch of tests done to confirm that thats what it was. Well anyway I had pregnancy medicaid and my daughter has medicaid. Its been about 6 months now and they billed us! Isnt medicaid supposed to pay for this? And if not I shouldnt have to pay for the doctors mistake. How come when your water breaks and they make you sign all of those papers, they never say that damage can be done to your child by using forceps and they make you sign those papers for them to use those tools???

For about 2 months now I have been having pain on the right side by the waist area and back. It started off on the right side by the waist and the back and then now it is on my right leg. I did 2 abdominal cat scans. One showed liver enlgarged and the other (done with contrast) showed normal. At first one of the liver enzymes were slightly elevated but then a couple of weeks later they were not. However the sonogram showed liver enlarged. A few doctors said that the pain can be from a pinched nerve from the back but the MRI showed normal. Can it still be a pinched nerve from th spine even the the MRI was normal? I went to a neurologist and they said I should do an EMG to find out if it is a nerve pain or not. They also said that it can be from the epidural I took when I was in labor for my 4 months old son. The GI said that the enlarged liver can be from the pregnancy. Is this true? I am confused about all this. IF anyone has any suggestions let me know. Thanks.

I suffered with SPD during pregnancy they say caused by an old lower back injury and me carrying my baby weight differently. Since giving birth I have been unable to sleep on my stomach as it feels like my back it too arched almost to the point if feels forced. It is very painful, does anyone know any exercises that can help re-align my pelvis (if that is the problem).
