3 months ago, my boyfriend and I were driving my car. I didn’t have insurance at the time, stupid I know. I learned my lesson and bought insurance the day after the accident. anyway, my boyfriend was driving and he has insurance, though now i learned it doesn’t make a difference because that only covers his car. some lady ran the red light and t boned my car. it was me and my boyfriends first accident so we didn’t know to tell people that saw it happen to give us their number as a witness. cop came, lady told him she had the green light. so it was considered a no fault because we both said we had green light. we stopped at the gas station that was on the intersection after, they said they have cameras and we got the tape, we have video proof she ran red light. we’ve been working with her insurance to prove she’s guilty and they keep drowning it out to be longer, like we have to send the video here, call back in a week, had to send it to a diff claims place, etc. it’s been 3 months we’ve been doing what they’ve told us. i lost my job because my car is undriveable and i could never find a way there. what kind of lawyer should i get? any advice about anything?
i’m in minnesota which is a no fault state…so that means i can’t do anything about it?

In 1998 I was T – Boned by another driver in another pickup truck. He hit me at approx. 50mph in a 40mph zone, I was crossing with green light at approx. 3mph. He got a ticket for running a red light. I had small pieces of glass in my right arm, and a goose egg on my forehead. But because I had seat and shoulder belt on. My back injury did not show up for at least 6 months. I went to a chiropractor and he xrayed my spine and said it was twisted in 2 places. I have problems with nerves getting pinched causing my legs to go out from under me. What I want to know is, how many years after an accident do I have to sue for injuries. At the time, I consulted with a free consultation from a lawyer, he said it wasn’t worth it because they would not be able to get at least 150,000.00. this was way before the back problem showed up. I got into an accident around the end of october last year. At the scene the other guy’s car only had surface scratches since he owned a Mercedes and the bumper took all the impulse, my car was pretty badly totalled in the front. The first thing I did after the accident was walk out of my car to check if everyone was ok, I asked him and he said he was. So we called the police, we didn’t ask for an ambulance or nothing because it was a low speed collision and we both had seat belts on. So the police officer came and took our reports, and asked me if I was ok I said I was and he asked me if the other driver was ok as well, and I told him he was, the police officer asked the other driver as well. Now one year after the accident this driver is trying to make a claim on being bodily injured in the accident. I can prove using physics and dynamics exactly how much force was applied to his seat and through the seat belt onto him, I have the police officer as a witness, how will my case hold up
I am 100% sure he is trying to fraud me, I am pretty sure he cut me off right before a red light but that cant be proven. However the police officer can testify that he was ok at the scene, how badly his car was damaged, etc; isn’t this enough to win a jury over? What is this other guy thinking, that I am so stupid I will settle for what he askes knowing I can win the case so easily because I am innocent and he will be commiting purgery on stand by lying about his injuries? Also doesn’t he get checked by an unbaised doctor recommended by the judge to show what his injuries can be attributed to? I have Gieco insurance, will they do anything to help me prevent this obvious case of fraud? Is there any chance that this guy’s lawyer can trick a jury even with all my proof and evidence?
Thanks for any ideas, also should I contact Gieco’s fraud department and report this as such a case for investigation?

My wife and I were in an auto accident in Feb 08. It was in our 1993 Chevy truck. The other driver ran a red light and hit the driver side. As a result my head broke out the driver side window. I did not go to the ER in the ambulance we drove after the report was filed with the police. I went for neck and low back pain and wife sustained buises to her right arm and right knee. They did a Catscan that ruled I had severe whiplash and for the back pain they told me to folow up with a chiro. I recieved 2 month of treatment from them for my back. I actually stopped going because the visits started hurting. After not going for a week or so. It still hurt a getting out of bed and every now and then it would remind me. I am a police officer and light duty is not an option. Anything can happen at anytime. About a month ago I woke on a day off and I couldn’t walk without have back pain and shooting pain around my ribs, breathing hurt.I thought it was the way I slept. cont.
The pain persisted all day. I decided to sleep on another bed. All night and the next morning PAIN,PAIN,PAIN. So I went to the ER I couldn’t even made it from the car to the door. After 7 hours of getting my pain under control.|The ER doctor advised that I have a herniated disc and gave me a week off work. So in bed on my back for four days pain lets up enough to return to work. I followed up with my doctor who gave me more pain medication and sent me for x-rays. Now at work I have to get out of my patrol car periodically because my legs go numb. |I have stopped wearing my bulletproof vest because it helps a little. BAD IDEA I know but what do I do Find a new career. Still have to go back to see what x-rays showed but I am wondering what to do about the injury settlement. We already settled the vehicle part. The damages were 00 to the vehicle totalling it. Considering the truck was worth 00.

Hi there, I am about to tell you the whole store. So brace yourself.
About 2 1/2 months ago my Husband was involved in a car accident.

1. He was going though an intersection with a green light, when from the other side someone came at about 70 mph and ran a red light and rammed into the passenger side of our car. Keep in mind this is in an area where the posted speed limit is 40.

2. We don’t believe there were any witnesses. But to be honest with you the Cops seemed very bious. And were super nice to them, and didn’t seem to believe us. It was a very weird situation.
Those people are lying and saying that they had the green light.

3. Those people were going so fast, that their luxury large SUV actually flipped upside down.

4. They were all dressed up as if they were going clubbin, I think they were drunk. However the cops did not give them a sobriety test or anything.

5. This accident took place in Los Angeles, which means police reports can take forever. The report has yet to come in.
We gave our statement to our insurance company, however they can not make a decision because they don’t have the police report. Which I think won’t help us anyway, since they were total jerks, and there was no witnesses.

6. The other party has gotten a lawyer and will not give my insurance company a statement. Basically they are not talking, and are already filing soft tissue damage.
Their car was totaled as-well.

7. I am deeply concerned, because my full coverage was totally BS! We only have 5,000 liability property coverage. So if this God Forbid, ends up being blamed on us, we would have to fork out the rest of the $ . Keep in mind they have a luxury new large suv.

8. My question is, should I get a lawyer?
Do you think any of them will take our case?
You see we are no those kinda people to fork up bogus medical bills to pretend like we are sick.
So I don’t know if our case is even valuable to a lawyer.

Your advices would really help us.

on the job when auto accident happened lady ran red light.i had disk fusion surgery & concussion.i had my position for 14 yrs. i’m 64 and my salary was 74,000 a yr.my owners uliminated my position,i have short term memory.i ran 7 stores.i am now getting unemployment 275.a wk.i’m depressed.i planned on working till 70 so i could get full retirement.

I was recently involved in a car accident. Someone ran a red light & hit the front drivers side & her back end swung around and hit the back drivers side of my car going about 40-50 mph totaling my car. I was rushed to the ER before I could get any of her information & the police officer was supposed to come to the ER to talk w/me & give me a police report #, He never came, but there were 3 witnesses that talked to him stating they saw the whole thing & she ran the red light. I have no information about her, her insurance hasn’t contacted me, & I am waiting on the police report. My insurance has covered for a rental car for now.

My 6 month old son was in the car with me, the paramedic checked him out & he has had a followup with his Dr. & they said that he looks fine, but it just shook up. My head hit the steering wheel & slammed against the window. I have a bump on my head that is black & blue & my forehead and whole left side of my body is bruised. I have had a constant headache & my neck, back & body is all stiff & is in a lot of pain. I followed up with a Dr. but he told me that I am just telling myself that I am in pain, he looked at the floor the whole time & he would not even look over me. I am in the process of going to another Dr.

I have never been involved in an accident to this extreme before. Should I get a lawyer? or should I just try to work with the insurance company myself?

late july 06 i was in a car accident with a man and his wife who ran a red light and hit the passenger side of my car. he hit the whole side of my car and broke the axle and ruined just the whole car out of whack! i had a witness who stopped to help he was going the opposite way of me so we had the same green light and stayed with me until the cops came. he did get a ticket for running the light. i did go to the hospital and went to physical therapy for my back and i got a hold of a lawyer, they said the car was fully insured but it wasnt his car and his name wasnt on the insurance coverage and theres really nothign they can do!!! is that really serious!!! this @#$$# ruined my car and he doesnt have to pay for nething????!! the lawyer takes forever getting back at me so what should i do?? help please! i havent driven that car cause im waiting for it to get fixed and the passenger door cant even open its getting the transmission redone 0.00 had the right wheel axle thingy5!!!

I got a ticket today, i have a DWI and they caught me with out having DL. Yet I still haven’t got convicted with my DWI . Will this ticket affect my DWI charges? I have Court date for my DWI on july 29 and i have court date for the ticket they gave me today on july 22nd. Should I let my Lawyer know that I got a ticket today or will that just mess up everything and will i get twice as bigger charges now cause of What happened? My violations were Ran flashing red light and fail to maintain financial recap and fail to show DL.

I was not at fault, other driver was ticketed for running red light. I have received payment for my truck which was totalled. i did not sign off any any medical claim. My neck was injured (doesn’t seem too seriously) and i have been going to chiropracter all week. The other driver has the same insurance company as me. The company has always been fair with me. Should i consult an attorney or am i just throwing 30 percent of any settlement i may get out the window?? thanks for any help

It was my birthday and we were headed out to dinner. My partner and I were stopped at a red light when a drunk driver cut through several lanes of traffic and hit us head on. My truck was thrown back into the car behind us. The offending driver threw the engine in reverse and tried to leave but she was hooked to my truck. I jumped out to get her plate number but she couldn’t go anywhere. Then she left on foot, but was eventually found and cited for DUI, hit and run, and colision.

My partner and I were taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital to be checked out as she was having chest pain and we were both having neck and back pain.

We have been going to the chiropractor since then. (This happened 4/2/8).

I contacted my insurance company the next day and everything is pending.

I am a disabled veteran and I get all my medical done at the VA so I have no private insurance. When I contacted to VA about the accident I was told they wouldn’t pay because I was not seen at a VA.
The drunk driver did not own the car she was driving.
My partner was driving (and covered by my insurance to drive) and I was passenger.

I was recently in a car accident and I sued the person because I was hit in the back and my car was totaled. I went to physical thearpy for a few weeks and I went to the doctor every weekend. I was not a fault in the accident. My lawyer is settling my case within the next four to six weeks and I would like to know a good settlement amount that I should recieve after medical bills and the lawyers fee. How long does it usually take to recieve another offer if you decline the first offer? The claim was submitted to Geico and I heard they are pretty fast. Just to FYI the lawyer recieves a third.

In terms of the Vehicle, The Front of Vehicle was totally engulfed in Flame, as Engine Blew Up. Also, the Front of car is totally smashed in.
In terms of the Accident, It occured in State of New Jersey. I have my own Drivers License, Car and Insurance through State of Delaware, as I have legal residence there. Why not go to lawyer?
