I was a cheerleader for 4 years [5th thru 8th grade] and during the end of that time, and especially now afterward, I always have this pain in my back. A lot of the time it is around my entire right shoulder blade and in my lower back. I asked my doctor what it is, she had me bend over and touch my toes and she felt around my back and said it was probably just growing pains. If it was just growing pains it would not be hurting this much anymore. What could it possibly be and how can i fix it?

The pain started happening Thursday morning, it’s now Sunday afternoon an getting worse. Pain killers havent done anything… Doctors appt? Thanks!

Or the pain of one?
I’m pretty sure that’s what I have..
In my left shoulder blade, I have a really intense burning/sharp pain kinda both rolled into one. There was a lot of numbness there, but that has gone away. So far, I have had this since November of 08.

I was working out yesterday and after a while my back (right under my left shoulder blade) began to kill me. I thought the pain would go away overnight but insead it got worse. I’m 17 so it’s not from old age or anything. Does anyone know any stretches for this?

You know the nerve that goes between your shoulder blade under that bone? The kind of kink that makes turning your head side to side too painful? I have had this for 2 weeks and I have done ice and heat and sometimes my arm even hurts…just wondering if you had any ideas as my finances are low at the moment.
Thank you for your answer in advance. :’ )

I had spinal fusion 10 years ago. My whole spine is fused with 2 rods, to correct a very severe curvature.
Ever since the surgery, i’ll occasionally get a pain it my right shoulder blade (on my back). It feels like getting stabbed with a burning hot knife. It is AWFUL.
I know what you’ll all say "go to the doctor," but unfortunately I’ve gone to my surgeon, and a couple of GP’s already. They all tell me "it’s nerve damage", and i should take tylenol or ibuprfen (i’m allergic to narcotic pain meds).
Does anyone else have "nerve damage" pain? If you do, does anything help you out?
I’ve tried OTC pain meds, muscle relaxers, heating pads, and back muscle stretches.
Thanks!
I live in Illinois.
I can’t take a drug called "Lyrica," because i have a history of kidney problems.

My wife is a petite woman of 34 years who was rear-ended a week before our wedding. The damage to the vehicle was not very much but she was at a full stop and hit by a larger truck.
Since this accident (Ten Months) she has experienced horrible pain in her neck and back, we cant golf or scuba or do anything we’ve come to enjoy together.
Her Symptoms are:
1. Severe Migraine Headaches, Pain in Left Ear, Left Head
2. Extreeme Neck Pain, Mid Back (Near Shoulder Blade)
3. Disabling Lower Back Pain
4. Numbness in Left arm and Hand
Shes had a brain scan, two MRIs and Xray ion Lower back. MRIs and CAT Scan of Head yielded nothing. MRI of lower back indicates buldge of the L4-L5.
In the past ten months she has underwent the following treatment.
1. Accupunture (1 times per week)
2. Physical Therepy (1-3 Times Per Week)
3. Massage Therapy (Every other week)
She is afriad of Chiropractors in the way I fear spiders. How can she find peace from pain?
Malingering? Wifely Duties? Definately not! I’ve known her for many years, I’ve seen this strong athletic woman reduced to sobbing desparation. I need medical advice, idiots need not respond.

i seem to have some sort of pinched nerve right near my left shoulder blade. it feels like it’s burning and somewhat hurts whenever i move my arms around. i’ve never had anything like this before and i dont life any heavy objects but could it be due to repetitive motion?
also, i think that icy hot is supposed to help.. if so, what size should i get or is there a specific kind?
thanks!!
