Since I started college in the fall I have been getting sleep paralysis episodes. Some where I know I’m awake I just can’t move or open my eyes. Others when something is laying on top of me telling me its going to kill me and I can’t get away and I can’t move, open my eyes and breathing is difficult. Also, I even have ones where I can hear someone walking toward and into my room but I can’t move.

What are some effective ways to get rid of sleep paralysis?

I had Spinal Surgery a month ago.
The pain started about a week or so ago.
The best I can describe it as is a Burning/Itching pain whenever my foot touches anything.
It is very uncomfortable when I try to sleep, and it takes a good 20 minutes to fall asleep.
Could this be Pinched/Stretched nerves? Or is it more like a fungal infection?

The painkillers I was given was Percocet- Stopped about two weeks ago
Anti-biotics Aphelexalin- Two weeks ago

Thank you.
Also, only the top part of my foot, is very tender.

How to enter a lucid dream from sleep paralysis?

I’ve done a lot of research and I know about sleep paralysis and what you do inside the dream and how to control it. But I just don’t know how to enter the lucid dream from sleep paralysis.
Any advice or tips from people who have tried this and have had success.
Thank You

I just looked at a few videos of Sleep Paralysis and I heard that you are paralised and you see visions and stuff. What would happen if a real person was awake when you were having sleep paralysis, what would the awake person see?

Lately I have been getting around 5 hrs. of sleep for the pass months and my neck would get this extreme feeling of pain and shock. It feels like a rope being pulled as hard as it can. Really hard to explain. I’m used to getting small amounts of sleep but just curious as to know if this is my problem with my neck pain. My head also gets really sharp shocks of pain but they usually last for a few minutes and come back later on.

My mom has Sciatica and she’s getting surgery on wednesday. But right now, her legs hurts horribly, and she can’t sleep. She’s taking the medication, and it’s been working, but once in a while her leg starts to hurt. Do you know what I can do to at least make the pain not hurt so much?

What is the best pillow for neck pain?

I sleep on my side and wake up with a neck so stiff I can barely move it. I have tried firm and soft pillows, thick and thin. I want to get a pillow that is designed for neck pain but I have no idea what to get and what actually works. Any suggestions from those who have tried them would be appreciated.

For example, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, any (congenital or acquired) disability that limits physical movement.

Anyone have one of the disabilities above and not have to take medication? How is your sleep pattern, do you generally sleep well?

Reason for asking is that I had a brain injury and have to be on medication for the rest of my life. Sleep is not good without antianxiety agents. Just wondering if others are dependent on meds, or if it is possible to have a disability like the above and be able to gradually wean yourself off all medication

I had a back spasm (intense pain in my lower back) a couple days ago, but it faded after a night’s sleep. Today I’ve had this dull, minor pain in my lower back that’s just kind of there, not increasing or becoming any sort of annoyance. My urine has also been colorless, which is weird since I haven’t been drinking fluids any more than usual. Is there something wrong?

I have been having severe back pain with spasms, especially when I go to bed at night. I have to sleep upright on a heating pad. I went to the chiropractor today and they made xrays. They said that the last vertebrae in my spine is twisted and tilted. I haven’t done any lifting or had any accidents. What could have caused this?

Specifically if said fracture is in you arm?
I need to know for a story I’m writing, but for whatever reason googling is proving ineffective. Though that could be because I’m sleep deprived…
Anyway, does anyone know?
