I was involved in a accident in which I was hit in the front & driver side I was driving an older blazer so It didn’t sustain much damage (00) However the at fault driver was in a much smaller auto that was totaled. My Knee had ruptured blood vessels, Meniscus tears, swelling,Bruising & severe pain, it Buckles & in 1 incident It caused me to fall injuring my knee even much more, I also had mild cervical strain,Right ankle sprain & upper & lower back pain. My PCP referred my to an orthopedic specialist, physical therapy & chiropractor. I have been in treatment for 22 weeks and have been released by PT & Chiropractor, to go back as needed.released by Ortho specialist to return for injections to knee as needed or other possible treatment. I continue to have pain & can’t sleep on right side but am considered as good as i will be. Also in the accident I had my 13 year old son with me who was thankfully not injured, but I drive him to & from school every day, during the 1st few weeks I could not drive and had very limited mobility. What would be a good settlement for these injuries?
The insurance company has paid to have my vehicle repaired. My Health insurance is paying for my medical bills but its my understanding that I will have to pay them back after the settlement.
What kind of injuries would these be considered? (Soft Tissue)?

7 days ago attended a martial arts class and agitated my back twisting it in some unusual angles…felt a little sore in one spot but I still felt great. Next day was doing this job waiving a heavy sign back and forth for 8 hours straight ugh.

Pain increased tenfold and spread through my lower back. Resting it for a week, icing it, and stretching it/moving around to keep it loose. Still hurts like crazy…tight, dull pain plus some sharp shooting pain.

Doctor says I agitated the soft tissue probably and it can take a couple of weeks to recover.

How do I know what type of back injury I have sustained?
The doctor offered to get xrays done, I’m broke so I said I’d think about it. Do X-rays show anything?
I am in great pain, missed a week of work to nurse my back, possibly lost my second job, behind on bills…you had a chance to give positive advice.

Instead you question why I waited a week to see the doctor. Dr’s almost always recommend resting for a few days to see how it recovers, which is exactly what my doctor recommended.

The xrays were an option that was offered to me. Or I can wait a few days see how I feel and get them. It’s up to me and I’m trying to figure out if and when would be a good time to get them. Just so you know, I didn’t get the xrays because with missed work my account ran to zero and I want to think before I start getting bills I can’t pay. Also I was in the middle of a mental breakdown so I left the xray place to rest and talked with the lady who said I could come back later no problem.

Also I never said the stretching hurt. The back is what hurts, not the gentle stretching. Please stop making assumptions. 4000 posts of that? I feel for you.

Lower back tennis injury- Please help!?

So on June 4th I ran 2 miles faster than I ever have before and I had an intense workout. The next day I played a competitive match that lasted a long time and involved a lot of running/reaching. In the afternoon I had a doubles match, I did a mini tennis warm up but didn’t warm up otherwise. About 30 minutes into the match I was going for a forehand when I felt pain in my lower back on the left side. I had to keep playing for about 20 more minutes, it hurt with movement and was accelerated by bending down. That night it was very painful and I couldn’t even turn over in bed. I rested for a week and it stopped hurting with regular everyday activity (no exercise) so I tried to play tennis the following Friday. About 10 minutes in there was burning intense pain in the area so I stopped. The next day was pretty bad too. I rested for 2 more weeks, the pain was gone unless I tried to run or jump. I saw a chiropractor and they gave me some exercises to do and I had 3 sessions of acupuncture. He said I could try playing, so 4 1/2 weeks after the original injury I had a lesson with my coach who knew what to avoid/all the details. It didn’t hurt during play but about an hour and 20 minutes after a dull pain was in the area. This pain got worse over time and the next day it was more intense and occasionally there would be a sharp pain right at the most painful spot. Today there is a dull pain there which is pretty painful. My chiropractor said to ice it, take a day off (I played Thursday, it’s now Sunday) and try again and let him know how it goes. On Saturday the surrounding area where my chiro did a lot of massage/soft tissue stuff hurt as well but it seems to have gone away except for the dull pain right on the most painful spot. Women: This is right in the same area one would experience menstrual cramps (it’s not that, its not that time of the month lol) but only on the left side. Any insight on this? What can I do? How much longer should it be like this? I will ask my chiro but I want others opinions too. Thanks

I am in agony beyond belief. I cannot sleep. Seems that after nearly five years, my attorney did little to develop my PI case. Did not talk to the four witnesses, did not depose the defendants (owners of the art gallery).
Then, just 6 weeks before trial, he abruptly quit. Case worth 5,000 to 0,000.
5 years ago, at an art gallery a multi-paneled art object — 4 ft by 4 ft — broke from the wall & fell on me. Suffered soft-tissue neck injury. 4 witnesses. 5 doctors.
From the start, my Attorney said, We will have to go to trial. He suddenly quit just weeks before trial. Days before trial, Case so old judge would not grant me trial continuance. I settled for less than ,000. No choice. I plan to go to State Bar, then legal malpractice attorney. I was homeless, on welfare, this after working 6 years as software engineer. Lost everything I worked so hard for. Did get 100% Social Security disability. Needed compensation, though, to get back on feet.

Lower back disc pain question?

First unsure if the correct term is "disc" or "disk". Long story short a few months ago I started to have extreme lower back pain. It was an intense sharp stabbing pain with almost like electrical shocks through my body (happened intermittingly).

I went to the Doctor and she said I have ruptured or protruded (something) the disc in my lower back. She wanted to do an x-ray but said that x-rays will not show soft tissue. After the x-ray they really did not see anything and gave me an RX for pain pills and said to take it easy for a few weeks and then call back for an MRI.

Well I have to wait a week or two to get the MRI now and wondering if anyone has dealt with disc pain and how did you help relieve it? Vicodin ES works to a certain degree– but is not a miracle worker for the pain. For me upon waking up is the worst, but it really is a downer to deal with pain (at times severe) on a continual basis. Is there anything to help with the pain until I see the Dr. again?
Thank you!
