in theory yes but in reality what do you guys think.
im just freaked out right now so cant even think logically or rationally. this morning i stretched laying in bed when i woke up but did it very fast and now my neck is pain and the right side of my body.
most spinal cord injuries have to be traumatic but some can be caused by minor whiplash. most likely this is only on the exterior right and not at the spinal cord level?

My friend wants to fight for the UFC MMA’s. After training he is always complaining about his back and muscles pain. It is possible for him to continue with his fighting career. He had a car accident months ago and he injured his spinal cord, he has been in therapy for that. But he doesnt think that is normal that his body is very sore after training and matches. He can barely stand up after a hard match.

An example would be the monkey helper. Monkey Helpers for the Disabled is a national nonprofit serving quadriplegic and other people with severe spinal cord injuries or mobility-impairments by providing highly trained monkeys to assist with daily activities.

Last november I fell from what we all thaught at the time was a stroke. I was rushed to the ER. Given act scan and then tpa medication and transfered to a bigger hospital. Now almost a year later we find I have scoliosis that I didn’t have as a kid and possible spinal cord damage. The whole time thinking its from a stroke now they say no its from my spine.how did the doctors mess this one up?

After leaving the 4th ventricle and entering the central canal of the spinal cord, where exactly does CSF go? I’ve never read about any direct conduits existing between the central canal and the subarachnoid space, though I assume there must be some given the fact that flow seems to be unidirectional. Or are there arachnoid granulations projecting from the central canal?
My thanks to anyone who can answer.

Does anyone know the most common causes of compression fractures of the cervical vertebrae? My mother was recently diagnosed with a compression fracture in her spinal cord at C7 (neck area).
She was Dx w/osteopenia 4 years ago, but hasn’t taken any steps to prevent further progression other than calcium supplements (and not routinely). She has a history of bone fractures, as she fractured her wrist about 2 years ago in a minor fall.
She has yearly mammograms and had lung X-rays taken last year as part of her annual physical. Everything was fine: no traces of cancer in either place. She is 64 y/o, caucasian, non-smoker, healthy and active, and other than having hypothyroidism, she has no other history of disease.
Her recent MRI did not reveal any type of tumor at the sight, however, they want to do further testing to make sure she doesn’t have a malignancy anywhere else in her body. Apparently many cancers can matastasize in the spine.
What are the chances this compression fracture is due to a lack of bone density and NOT to an unidentified malignancy elsewhere in the body?
Please sight any references, if possible.
Thanks for your help.

Do you have both cardiac pacemaker and spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implanted? Would you please share your experience on the combine treatment for your cardiac disease and degenerative discs disease?
Thanks for sharing your experience in advance.

My friend is 5 months pregnant and just received horrible news that her baby has no heart chambers, and no spinal cord
I’m so upset for her…she has to go see a specialist in 2 weeks. What is likely to happen?

They freaked out like the kids would get diseases. Yet they eat sausages and who knows what’s in that, and pigs infested with parasites. The spinal cord is the best part but they wouldn’t let the kids have ANY of the lamb at all just because it was cooked with the spinal cord.
They wanted to try it but the parents were all like "nein nein" you can’t try that. It’s a middle eastern dish they should get some culture if they want while they’re here.

I am trying to help someone who has a spinal cord injury receive a Spinal Cord Stimulator. Sadly, she only has Louisiana Medicaid, which does not pay for this procedure. So, I have been doing research on possible grants to help pay for this. Does anyone know of such a thing? Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Kimberly
