I have neck pain but the pain is on the right side of my neck only and not the other side. Also I have upper back pain/cervical back pain. The pain is so bad that it feels like something is pushing my spine inward. It hurts but I am scared to see my doctor. Also I have bilateral upper arm pain which is weird too?

How to recover from Spinal Chord Injury/Pinched Nerve?

1 part of my spine feels out of place after i messed it up 8 months ago. The x-rays come normal so its not a big shit, but its big enough that it feels abnormal and clearly wrong(1 vertebrate to the right). I have a pinched nerve in my leg, i can feel everything but there is still tingling, its not perfect like my left leg, this i have had for 4 weeks now. Is it possible to put the spine back in place and get 100% feeling back/remove tingling in right leg?
*not a big shift.

Bulging disc treatment?

Hi I’ve just found out that I have a bulging disc from an accident that happened a year and half ago but uv had these symptoms for the last 10 months
Leg weakness/pain
Tingling feet
Blurred vision
Leg and arm spasms during sleep

Does anyone know what treatment options there is cuz anything I have read says that it heals in six weeks but I have been having these symptoms for ten months which are gradually getting worse
I don’t know which disc has slipped am waiting to see my doc to for results of MRI scan I was only told from a quick phone call that there is a lot of wear and tear on the spine and that I have a bulging disc

partial injury to spinal cord?

Last november I fell from what we all thaught at the time was a stroke. I was rushed to the ER. Given act scan and then tpa medication and transfered to a bigger hospital. Now almost a year later we find I have scoliosis that I didn’t have as a kid and possible spinal cord damage. The whole time thinking its from a stroke now they say no its from my spine.how did the doctors mess this one up?

I am relatively young (21 years of age) and can’t sit straight or carry a lot of things as I can feel it in my shoulder blades and spine. I have had acupuncture before and that hasn’t helped at all. I was just wondering if anyone knows the causes of my back pain or any ideas? I know people will mention bad posture, but miss that out please. Thanks.

Does anyone know the most common causes of compression fractures of the cervical vertebrae? My mother was recently diagnosed with a compression fracture in her spinal cord at C7 (neck area).

She was Dx w/osteopenia 4 years ago, but hasn’t taken any steps to prevent further progression other than calcium supplements (and not routinely). She has a history of bone fractures, as she fractured her wrist about 2 years ago in a minor fall.

She has yearly mammograms and had lung X-rays taken last year as part of her annual physical. Everything was fine: no traces of cancer in either place. She is 64 y/o, caucasian, non-smoker, healthy and active, and other than having hypothyroidism, she has no other history of disease.

Her recent MRI did not reveal any type of tumor at the sight, however, they want to do further testing to make sure she doesn’t have a malignancy anywhere else in her body. Apparently many cancers can matastasize in the spine.

What are the chances this compression fracture is due to a lack of bone density and NOT to an unidentified malignancy elsewhere in the body?

Please sight any references, if possible.

Thanks for your help.

Someone I know was just told he had a slight scoliosis can anyone tell me what that means? Is it a starting point for scoliosis or is his spine just misaligned?

I herniated a disc in my lower spine, and I’ve been treating it with physical therapy, pain meds, chiropractic adjustments. It’s improving, but cortisone shots are my next option. If you’ve had the same problem, I’d like to know if they worked for you and for how long? I’ve heard they can help with pain for up to three months if they work, which should be enough time for my back to heal properly. Did they work for you?

ok, to make a LONG story short… I was in an auto accident where i was stopped at a red light and a woman in an SUV thought the light was green and slammed into me at full speed. my car was totalled and i’ve been dealing with major neck pain. i’ve got subluxation in my neck where basically all of the vertebrea have twisted to the right side the top of my spine is crooked and the curve of my neck has been straightened. and i have a badly pinched nerve in my collarbone. it’s been 6 weeks and i’m still in pain. i am not able to do my job anymore. the chiropractor says that he sees improvement but it’s going to be a slow recovery and if he can’t fix me he will send me to a specialist. i’m either going to have to quit or i’m going to get fired because i can’t do the duties that are require for my job and i keep missing work because of it. my question is, does anybody know of some way that i can get money to pay my bills while i’m out of work? i am going to get an injury settlement but i won’t see any of that money until i’m released from anything medical. i really need time off to heal because the problem is i’ve been working and haven’t been able to heal but i don’t know if there’s some way to get money from the insurance for that? by the way, the insurance company of the woman who hit me is paying for everything. i was also thinking of leave of absence but i know i won’t get paid that way either. :( i’m getting very worried. any advice?

I’ve had pain off and on in the area of my middle upper back between my shoulder blades for a while now…what are the best exercises to do to help strengthen that area of the back to make it less susceptible to repeat injury? Part of the problem I think is the fact that I’ve been told I have some scoliosis in my spine which must make me favour a certain side during cardio/lifting, causing the pain.

I’m not asking for a diagnosis I’m just wondering if other people have experienced lower back pain due to a disc protrusion near the top of the spine. I would guess no but I was wondering anyway.

bulging disc question?

Just received my MRi results / Lunbar spine and DOC says I have some arthritus and a bulging disc in lower back. The bulging disc the last 6 months is causing my feet to tingle and burn and some numbess in my knuckles and burning sensation.

DOC told me to do physical therepy and continue my gluecosemen and Vitamin B complex.

DOC was against shots at this time, because I’m not in any really bad pain.

And was totally against a chiropratic doctor because it could rupture my disk or give me a herninated disk.

Has anyone has these issues ?

Anyone have any ideas, and does physical therapy work ?

Brian
Thanks Richard. I’ll try those stretches.

Thanks for everyones input. Keep them coming.

Brian
Thanks again to all.

I might go to a PT or join Planet Fitness to build my stomach and back muscles… crunches, pull downs, etc. Not going to lift really heavy weight.

Alot of exercises can be found on YOU TUBE as well on bulging disc.

Found that ice also helps on the upper and lower back for 15 minutes a day.

Going to make it a point to do daily stretching exercises.

Brian

I am 21, have to get spinal surgery done on the very base of my spine. I work out often but have not in like the last month or so. The longest I have ran was 2 miles and I was slowed down by about 3 minutes. from the pain. The surgery is on the 22 of June but I hope to be back to running 6-10 mile runs, working out alot again and I also want to get into martial arts but I am worried the spinal surgery will put everything on hold forever. Any advice or knowledge on this? Thanks

I had spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis when I was 13 years old. (I am 22 now.) My spine is fused from just below my neck to my lower back, and I have the titanium rods. What I am wondering is…what method could be used to anesthetize me (either local or general) during vaginal child birth?

PS – I’m not pregnant now. But I am getting married soon and just want to plan for the future. Thanks!
