I get terrible lower back pain but only after playing basketball. Are there any stretches i can do before i start playing? or things i can wear for lumbar support during play to prevent the pain?

I’m 33 weeks along. The past week, the pain has been excruciating! Expecially trying to do things like get in and out of the car, tying my shoe (just the right one, though…), anything that involves bending a certain way. Talked to my dr about it today, and she suggested some stretches.
Just wondering if any of you ladies have found relief with anything else!

Just received my MRi results / Lunbar spine and DOC says I have some arthritus and a bulging disc in lower back. The bulging disc the last 6 months is causing my feet to tingle and burn and some numbess in my knuckles and burning sensation.
DOC told me to do physical therepy and continue my gluecosemen and Vitamin B complex.
DOC was against shots at this time, because I’m not in any really bad pain.
And was totally against a chiropratic doctor because it could rupture my disk or give me a herninated disk.
Has anyone has these issues ?
Anyone have any ideas, and does physical therapy work ?
Brian
Thanks Richard. I’ll try those stretches.
Thanks for everyones input. Keep them coming.
Brian
Thanks again to all.
I might go to a PT or join Planet Fitness to build my stomach and back muscles… crunches, pull downs, etc. Not going to lift really heavy weight.
Alot of exercises can be found on YOU TUBE as well on bulging disc.
Found that ice also helps on the upper and lower back for 15 minutes a day.
Going to make it a point to do daily stretching exercises.

The symptoms match with what I feel: burning and pain. I mean, it’s not that bad as before. I can do low impact exercises without pain. I just can’t do high impact exercises. The pain ranges from below the knee to the ankle. Anyone know of treatments? Stretches? Etc. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know what to do to help the sciatic nerve? Like stretches or something? Mine is hurting real bad for the past week or so. I can barely walk and I definitely can’t bend over, not even the slightest bit. So help? Please and thank you.

I do martial arts at school, and we were doing all these yoga like stretches and my spine started to tingle. It was really uncomfortable and a few days have passed but now my lower back, will just all of a sudden start stinging, it feels like pins and needles, and its really uncomfortable.
I don’t know whats wrong, and now im starting to get the stinging in my arms and other parts of my body.
What should I do? Because its really uncomfortable and it hurts…
Many thanks

I have sciatic nerve pain on my right side. I know that it’s due to a muscular issue and NOT due to any disk swelling or hernia. Does anyone have any suggestions for home treatment? (I am a massage therapist, so I do know all the recommended stretches and acupressure points!)

I realize that I can google this, and I have, but I’m just wondering if anybody has had sciatic nerve pain and if they’ve found any stretches or exercises that help.
I’ve done a whole lot of different things but the relief always seems to be temporary at best.
Thanks!!!

I pinched my sciatic nerve or strained it or something and now it really, really hurts… I was just doing splits stretches and I don’t have any history or whatever of it or any conditions to make it never go away.. I know it’s the sciatic because I researched into it a lot and it fit perfectly. I’ve had it a few days and was wondering if I stretch it will it go away? Will it come back? I read up and everything made it sound permanent and I’m sort of scared about the constant pain.
