my boyfriend has been having terrible back pain from a pinched sciatic nerve for the past week. he has a hard time getting up from a sitting position, bending over and lately hasnt even been able to pick up our 17 month old daughter. we cannot afford to send him to a chiropractor or a doctor so does anyone know of any stretches or homeopathic remedies that would help relieve some of the pain? thank you!

I was rear ended 4 months ago. No doubt of the other guys guilt. He received 2 tickets for it and we even have the surveillance video from the store I was turning into. My question is, I received as they call it a soft tissue injury. I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room, MRIs showed the muscles affected were spasming severely. I was put on a 5 lb weight limit and pain pills and muscle relaxers. I was unable to do even routine things like sweep my floors let alone able to even pick up my children. The insurance company is not denying their responsibility but they only want to pay me 00 to cover my pain and suffering and mental anguish due to the recklessness of their client. I missed work, I have unpaid medical bills still that are currently in collections, and I still have pain if I over due it at work to this day. They are willing to pay my medical bills of 00. I have asked for ,000 to cover what I believe the pain and suffering and the total disruption to my life for the last 4 months since their client negligently hit me. They claim the 00 is their final offer, am I asking for too much? Or are they just not willing to pay what they should. I know of people who have gotten alot more for alot less happening.
It took me 3 1/2 months to decide what I have been though does equal money because I didn’t want to sound greedy. But realisticly how else to you get validation for the heartache, pain, stress, and interuption of your life? I feel by not "paying" something they are belittling the real pain, the loss of experiences, the loss of time that I missed out and can never get back because of their clients carelessness.

Boo to those of you who try to judge and down grade what I am doing. 5 months ago I may have said the same thing as some of you, then I have had to go through the hell of this "accident". Don’t judge me until you have walked in my shoes. For those of you with the good advice, I have planned on settling for less without a lawyer, mainly because the guy’s insurance policy won’t pay more than ,000 so if I used a lawyer I would probably only get -6,000 anyways. I was involved in an auto accident and it’s been five days since it happened. I’m starting to have a pain in my left shoulder (I was driving and it is bruised from the seat belt). The accident was not my fault, but I’m worried that the "acceptable" time frame has passed for visiting the doctor. Is it too late to claim it as an injury if I go to the doctor now?

my wife was run off the road by a semi (he was sighted for improper lane change) there insurance company is going to offer a settlement how much should we be looking for? Her vehicle flipped 3 times (they paid us 00 for it KBB value) her hospital bill was 000 (they said they would cover it) It included an ER visit overnight stay. I was treated right after the accident for whiplash. It’s in my medical records but then was unable to go to treatment for some time because of other problems but injury got worse now the chiropractor won’t work on me because he says the insurance company won’t usually pay after this time loss. Also the auto insurance company won’t preauthorize treatment and I can’t afford the a visit co-pay required for using my health insurance. I’m on Social Security.

But my policy doesn’t cover what they’re asking for. Will my policy pay what they can and leave me with the difference? Or will I continue paying the sky-rocketed price AND the full amount that they want from me (if they win)? I’m afraid that they’re blwoing this out of proportion and are unfairly milking me for what I’m worth. I’m a student and my tuition is equal to what they want. For some reason I thought if you had a work related injury, hospitals had to bill the workers comp and it was illegal for them to bill any private medical insurance. I know auto insurance has a cap, like 0,000 personal injury and once that runs out the medical insurance starts being billed but for some reason I thought it was different with work comp claims. There is a certain spot on my ankle (just offset from the centre of the bone) that when touched sends a tingling sensation to the outside top portion of my foot. For example when I cross my legs I can really feel it. If pressure is put on it long enough it also starts to hurt. What is this? A pinched nerve? How can I treat it?

I’ve had some terrible pain in my back for 3 weeks. I went to see my doctor twice and she insisted that it was only some muscle pain which could be relieved by doing some sports, swimming for example. I tried sports but it didn’t help. I had my chest X-rayed and it said there was nothing wrong. Then I tried an analgesic rub used by athletes for muscle and joint pain and it worked very well but didn’t give me a permanent relief. I suspect that it might be a pinched nerve and I don’t know what to do with it.
It usually starts in the afternoon, getting worse and worse before I go to bed.
I’ve felt some tingling and burning sometimes, but not always.

The accident took place May 30, 2008. I am not sure if my lawyer is being really slow at resolving this or if I am just impatient. Anyways, I have already gotten him photos of the accident and a copy of all my medical bills. He said that he would get a hold of me when he figures out how much we are settling for. I haven’t heard from in since the end of September. I have considered finding a new lawyer. But if the one I got is still on schedule or at least okay with the time limit I will stick with him. Does anyone have any advice for a settlement amount for a small personal injury? I am not going to get an attorney, it was fairly minor. The fault is totally on the other party, and they’ve settled 00 for myself for minor whiplash, missed work, etc. (0 of that was for pain and suffering). We’re getting ready to settle on my son’s settlement. His nose was fractured and he had a cut inside his mouth. His medical bills are approximately 00, what should I expect for pain and suffering for him?
