PLEASE HELP!! BULGING DISC & IN EXTREME PAIN!!?

So I had an MRI done and it said I have a bulging disc, the very lower part of my back. they said it was mild to moderate. I had got 1 injection in my back, that did not help at all. they said i had little to no reflexes in my right leg and and very little in left. the pain gets to be so bad I cant handle it anymore. Its in both sides of lower back and goes down my legs, and makes legs and feet numb. does anybody have any suggestions, or know what they may try next? For now I’m takin vicodin and muscle relaxers along with rest until the pain is under better control.

Hubby has a spinal injury and when he is in pain..his body tempature rises. He is constantly hot and sweaty and overheats. We are waiting on surgery but doctor said there isn’t much he can do about overheating. Doesn’t overheating in the body cause damage? What damage does it cause? Worried it will start affecting his organs. I believe its from the pain and he has already been removed from Vicodin because we are going on three years waiting for surgery.

What can a doctor do to keep him from overheating? All suggestions are welcome.

(please don’t say go to the doctor..we are there every week and have been dealing with his injury for years..Thanks)
He has two disc completely blow out in his spine

Bulging disc….HELP?

Any one else here have severe back pain because of a bulging disc? If so what pain medication works the best for you? I currently take Vicodin but it doesn’t work much.

I was in a truck accident a few months ago and have low back Injury (Sacrum injury, Lumbargo, Whisplash injury). The first day of my mestrual period my pains in severe 10+. I have to take two motrin for pain, or Vicodin. I also got tubal ligation in 2003, I feel that my TL symptoms are worst.

What is my auto accident injury claim worth?

I was hit in the three months ago by a sixteen year-old who ran a red arrow turn light. She was cited and I was not. I did not think I was hurt at the accident, but realized that I had shoulder and neck pain later that night. I went to the urgent care through my doctor who gave me vicodin and a muscle relaxer, and then I went back in two weeks due to continuing pain. I was sent to a physical therapist, which I went to twice a week for the past few months, and once a week the last two weeks. My PT has given me stretching exercises to do at home but has said I am done with the treatment.

Her insurance has accepted liability and already paid for my car to be fixed (just under ,000) and for a rental car. They knew I was seeking treatment for the accident, and I am getting ready to send a letter asking them to request all my medical bills and records so they can offer a settlement. How much do you think my claim is worth?

Pain meds for heriated disc?

Ok for the past week I have had severe pain in my lower back, I went to the doctor today and will be having a x-ray and mri tomorrow.
Here’s the thing He told me even If I had a herniated disc he would not prescribe me vicodin for the pain because I’m still young…I’m 30 years old and had already taken this med for months after my shoulder surgery.Don’t you think that’s alittle odd? He will prescribe me ultram, but that stuff is useless for severe pain..
shoulder surgery was work related, alot of heavy repetive lifting.Tendonosis, bone spurs, impingment etc,etc

Herniated Disc…In Pain…Please Help!?

Let me just start off saying that I also have scoliosis and have had back issues for the past 15 years. I had pain so great last summer that radiated down my leg into my toes that I went to physical therapy 3x a week and popped Vicodin and muscle relaxants like crazy. Well, it’s back and its been almost two weeks. I’m in agony and I have a two year old that I am home with all day. It’s been very hard to care for her plus limp around in pain. Is there anything that I can do at home to help without having to call the doc? I don’t have anyone to watch her during the day to go to PT and I’m trying my best to avoid it so I’ve been starting the exercises that I was shown a year ago…it helps for awhile, just so the pain is tollerable, and then starts in again. HELP!

I’m a 22 yr old male with pain in my back.. I’ve had a ct scan which the dr’s said I have herniated disc in the l2-l3 and l3-l4 part of the spine.. Which is pressing on the sciatic nerve…which is really beating my butt with the pain, I can barely stand or walk..even laying down it’s hurting doctors only gave me some vicodin to help with pain…my question is, is there anything I can do about this? Will the disc ever heal?pain what can I do about it? Again I’m only 22 and should not be in this situation…also iam overweight if that matters..what about surgery? Inversion table anything… Thanks in advanced

I have had this for like 3 weeks, THE PAIN IS SO UNTOLERABLE
i can not take vicodin and other pain meds because they do NOT WORK for me! i have a very high tolerance to medications, i am trying to sit still but i can not even sleep with this pain, my doctors are idiots and wont help what can i do to fix this?????

I was wondering if anyone has found anything that works well for them to help with moderate to severe back pain? In my case, one of my upper vertibrae is pinching a disk and over the counter pain meds aren’t enough to assist in alleviating the pain. What have you found that works for you in similar circumstances…muscle relaxers or something like Vicodin?? Please let me know what has worked for you! Thanks and have a great day.

Lower back disc pain question?

First unsure if the correct term is "disc" or "disk". Long story short a few months ago I started to have extreme lower back pain. It was an intense sharp stabbing pain with almost like electrical shocks through my body (happened intermittingly).

I went to the Doctor and she said I have ruptured or protruded (something) the disc in my lower back. She wanted to do an x-ray but said that x-rays will not show soft tissue. After the x-ray they really did not see anything and gave me an RX for pain pills and said to take it easy for a few weeks and then call back for an MRI.

Well I have to wait a week or two to get the MRI now and wondering if anyone has dealt with disc pain and how did you help relieve it? Vicodin ES works to a certain degree– but is not a miracle worker for the pain. For me upon waking up is the worst, but it really is a downer to deal with pain (at times severe) on a continual basis. Is there anything to help with the pain until I see the Dr. again?
Thank you!
