3 years ago when I was 17 I went to the doctor because I was having pain in my neck and down my arm into my elbow. I couldn’t turn my head left and so the doctor gave me hydrocodone and sent me to a chiropractor. They sent me somewhere to get an mri and they did xrays. They said the xray looked like I had the neck of a 40 year old woman (whatever that means). They also said that the mri showed that I had a bulged disc. I had a lot of physical therapy and chiropractics. About 9 mo later they stopped physical therapy bc I could now do it at home. I have been going to the chiro since and after 3 years I have reduced my visits drastically along with continuing pain medication. I didn’t make it out there lately when my neck started hurting and it soon moved into my lower back and then my bottom rib on the back right. I went in and he said that I had displaced my rib. He did adjustments and it still hurts just as bad to walk, breath, lay down, bend down, and I keep getting these sharp pulsing pains. I go back tomorrow… but there has got to be something that can fix these issues. I’m 20 years old and I feel like I’m 80… I ache like all of the time now. Is there a specialized doctor that would be better to help fix the problem. I shouldn’t have to take pain killers forever and rely on a chiropractor.

I had a recent xray and my orthopedist magified the film. He found a bone fragment under my ankle bone from an old injury was causing me pain.

If this gets to the point where it needs to be removed, do I go to an orthopedist or a podatrist to have it removed?

It is effecting my walking and working.

Thank you for your oppinion.

My 6 year old daughter has a suspected salter fracture. It didn’t show up on the x-ray (which apparently isn’t unusual), but the doctor thought that it was a fracture and put a cast on. When she goes to the specialist, if they still don’t see anything, will she have to keep a cast on?
I forgot to mention that this is a grade 1 salter fracture to the ankle. didn’t show up in the xray, and she was walking on it the next day (although she wasn’t supposed to.)

Which doctor do I need to see for this injury??

About a month ago I injured my finger in an auto accident. It seemed minor at first but it keeps swelling up and painful to touch and bend.

Swelling dissapears after I ice it for several days then it returns few days later. My chiropractor took an xray and bone is not broken. But he cant do anything for it cause he’s not a real doctor I guess.

pedestrian hit by auto ,fell (OF course)
lol… ok xray was done of clavicle doc thot it was fracture healing ,radiologist said it was degenerative clavicle, but it hadn’t hurt prior to fall any ideas your expertise is appreciated
thanks in advance
have great day!

I just had x-rays done on my lower back due to a slip and fall in a store. It looks as if one side of a vertebrae has like a white cat scratch on it, in the xray. I’m looking for x-rays or examples of hairline fractures online. Thank you for the help in advance. I have to wait two days for results

3 yrs ago I began tingling in arms & fingers. Now have pain in neck shoulders chest arms. 1 yr ago had cervical xray revealed xtra rib at C7 (left and right). DX was thoracic outlet syndrome. Then had EMG done and Phys Therapy. I continue most PT exercise but pain continues to worsen. Recently had MRI which shows bulging disc at C3-4, C5-6, T5-7 linear structures posterior to cord represent prominent vascular structures. Family Doc wanted more PT but scheduled me to see neurosurgeon next week. What should I expect? More PT? Surgery? Pain Meds? The pain on scale 1-10 on a good day is 3-4 on a bad day 8-10. The constant tingling wakes me up in the night and the pain in neck and shoulder hinders me in what I can lift, and even what I can do since it is painful to keep my arms any higher than my waist/chest and very painful above my head. The EMG was negative for nerve damage and carpal tunnel. MRI shows no compression of cord.

The sciatic nerve is the nerve that runs from the lower back of the waist thru to the back of the leg. in some people it causes so much discomfort and pain and cant be seen thru an xray. However it is not common and little is known about it.

MRI showed that all my lumbar discs are degenerated far more than my age and that they are now all bulging. dr recommended an epidural guided by live xray. does anyone have knowledge or experience that would be helpful??

back pain? could it be a herniated disc?

i slipped on the tub a month ago and i had this bad back pain whenever i bend my back like when im putting my jeans on or my socks. so i went to see my doctor. he told me to take this meds for one week and said if the pain is still there, then i shud go get an xray. so a week passed and the pain subsided so i never got the xray. now, i have this back pain again, its not that painful compared to the one i had before. bt it radiates down to the back of my thighs. im seeing my doctor in the nex 2 days bt i jst want to have an idea wht this cud be. is it a herniated disc? or sumthin else? thanks for ur answers. realy appreciate it!

Has my dog got a slipped disc??

My vet has told me my dog has a slipped disc but didn’t take an xray. He told me to keep him caged for two weeks then to start physio. But i’m wondering if thats what it is. His back end has gone completely but he can hardly use his front legs and is curling his front paws in. He also seems off balance when he’s laying down and just moving his head. He’s on painkillers so hopefully not too uncomfortable but i’m very worried. By the way he’s a Jack Russell cross with allsorts. Does this sound like a slipped disc or something else??

Spinal disc herniation/slipped disc?

I have a herniated /slipped disc in my lower back in v2,3,4,5 apparently. NSAIDS (aspirin) have little effect and I cant get access to physiotherapy for some time still. I s there any sort of of exercises I can do on my own to deal with the pain and speed up the healing proccess?
ok it was in the lower portion of my back the v #’s were just something a doctor pointed out to me, ignore them. i had an xray not an MRI

What could be causing my lower left side back pain?

I have been in severe, crippling lower left side back pain for over a month now. The pain killers aren’t working, I can’t bend over to do anything without being in pain, and the xray revealed nothing. I can’t sit in my chair at work without being in pain. I have done NOTHING to injury my back. What are some possible things that could be causing my crippling lower back pain? Thanks.
