Whats the time limit to legally bill someone?
My boyfriend hired a lawyer for a DWI case about a year ago and he still hasnt billed us for his services, or contacted us since. Is there a time limit in which he has to do this? I remember learning something about this in a business law class a few years ago, but do not remember the time limit. Not sure if it matters but we live in Minnesota. Any help would be great. Any websites where I could find this information would also be helpful.

If I’m correct it is the same as Social Security, Federal, and State Taxes; 7-10 years! Your best bet is to call circuit clerks in the court house (discretely) and ask!!
i think law of limitations is 7 years.i would inquire to see what the hold up is cuz u could be accruing intrest
The law is he has a "reasonable time" to bill. The outer limit is your state’s statute of limitations for such obligations. Maybe he forgot.
If your BF knows he owes him money why don’t he contact him?
if he is just waiting to see if he can get out of paying what he owes maybe you should reconsider what kind of *man* you’re involved with.
