When and How do you plea on a DWI charge in Texas?
My friend is in jail today for driving drunk. The police officer said she will be transfer over to a courthouse tomorrow morning and I was wondering if they will make her plea or will it just be a meeting with the judge to arrange a court date? When does she have to plea and how would she plea? Not guilty, guilty? How much money will this end up costing her? This is her first offense. Will her license be suspended?

You make the plea at the arraignment hearing you just described. You may plead guilty, not guilty, or no-lo-contendre.
Sometimes, you may be allowed to plead to a lesser offense.
Speek to your attorney, if you have one.
Plea what she is, innocent or not. Might as well either get it over with if she is or get it started if she isn’t.
